Boost Juice Summer
It’s time to step up into summer and pull out that juicer and start using it, or make an investment purchase, from all the clothes you are about to sell. Juicing ingredients are full of phytonutrients, and that means more health benefits for a vibrant body.
Apples and carrot are the way to detoxify the liver. Carrots are high in beta-carotene, and a powerful antioxidant. Red Grapes have been found to have strong anti-cancer properties due to the anti-inflammatory effect of resveratrol. Ginger is a natural anti-inflammatory food and aids to strengthen digestion. Parsley an excellent cleanser for the kidneys and contains folic acid and chlorophyll which helps to regulate blood pressure.
A powerful detox ingredient fennel, it is simply an amazing detox spice food. Fennel assists in cleansing the colon; it relieves constipation; it’s great for the immune system with its natural anti-parasitic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. It is known to be very alkaline-forming and that means excellent for an alkaline diet and as a natural antacid remedy. When the body heals from the inside-out, the skin clears.
Wherever possible choose organic fruits and vegetables for juicing. So what is the difference between a juicer and a blender? A juicer separates the fibre from the liquid, and you drink only the juice. A blender blends all ingredients together and you drink the fibre and the liquid, we call this a “smoothie.” The recipe below is for a fresh squeezed juice, but if you don’t have a juicer, you can certainly mix all the ingredients in a blender and make a nice detoxifying green ‘smoothie’ too. Juice is so easy to digest and absorb and a great easy way to high-boost your mineral, vitamin and micro-nutrient reserve all summer long.
Begin each day with a nourishing and sustaining breakfast packed with goodness, you can almost feel it cleansing and detoxing as you drink.
